What is gold line?

The Gold Line is a light rail system in Los Angeles County, California. It is one of six lines of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system and runs 31.8 miles from Azusa to East Los Angeles. The line has 27 stations and serves the cities of Azusa, Duarte, Irwindale, Glendora, San Dimas, Pomona, La Verne, Claremont, Montclair, Covina, West Covina, Baldwin Park, El Monte, South El Monte, Rosemead, and East Los Angeles. The Gold Line began operation in 2003 and has since undergone several extensions. It is one of the fastest growing light rail systems in the United States with an average daily ridership of over 65,000 passengers. The Gold Line was also used as a transportation option during the 2016 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
